Von Angoram nach Madang

Endlich gelang es mir, mit einem Boot den Fluss hinab zu fahren. In einem Dorf, fand ich diese Trommel. Wichtig war sie früher und heute zu Kommunikation und zu Ritualen. 

Finally I found a boat down river. In one of the villages I've seen this drum. An importand part of communication and rituals of the past and the present. 

Unterwegs bekam ich einiges von der einzigartigen Tierwelt PNG's mit. 

On  the way, I've seen a lot of the stunning wildlive of PNG... 

Niemand weiss wieso, aber Madang ist voller riesiger Fledermäuse. Alle Bäume sind vollbehangen damit. So blieb ich oft mit offenem Mund auf der Strasse stehen um die Flugkünste bei Tag zu verfolgen. 

Nobody knows why, but Madang is full of huge bats. All the trees are full with it. Often I was standing in the middle of the street with an open mouth to enjoy the spectacular flights of the animals during the day. 

Persönlich: Es braucht viel Geduld hier zu Autostoppen, aber es klappt. 

Personal: It needs a lot of patience to hitchhike here, but it work out!
