Von POM nach Alotau

Time. A loooot of time.

Nach Port Moresby war ich ziemlich ratlos, was ich jetzt weiter machen soll. Ich entschied mich für den Weg zurück, auch wegen dem drohenden Ende des VISA's. Städtchen für Städtchen um weiter nach Segelbooten  Ausschau zu halten. Dies wurde zu einem teuren Abenteuer... Ich stoppte keine Autos mehr.

I had no idea how to go on after Port Moresby. What now? Because of the danger of a finished VISA I decided to go back with ships and boats to Indonesia. It was perhaps the most expansive time. I didn't hitchhike anymore...

Wetterbedingt wurde die Fähre von Alotau nach Lae immer wieder verschoben. Deshalb steckte ich dort eine Woche fest. Glücklicherweise war Alotau ein ziemlich friedliches Nest.

Because of the weather, they bushed the ferry to Lae all the time. Thats why I was about a week there in the end. Luckily Alotau is a peacefull place, so I had time to realx.

Ich fand neue Freunde, schaute den Strassenprediger beim Angstschüren zu und probierte alles auszukochen, was ich auf dem Markt fand. Auch wusch ich sogar meinen Rucksack.

I found new friends, had a look at the preacher on the street and tried to cook everything I could find on the local market. I even had time to wash my backpack...

Persönlich: Keine grossen Pläne, Entspannen ist angesagt.

Personal: No big plans. Relaxing describes everything...
