Akte PNG- VISA Juli 2011

Ich habe noch nie so viele Geschichten gehört als rund ums PNG VISA overland von Jayapura nach Vanimo. Hier schreibe ich kurz was ich dazu brauchte. Sobald ich über der Grenze bin, werde ich updaten wie dies gelaufen ist.

I've never heart as many stories about something then about the PNG VISA overland from Jayapura to Vanimo. Hier I write how I got my VISA and was I had to do for it. When I went over the boarder, I gonna update whats happened.

In ein paar Monaten schliesslich werde ich alles löschen da Bestimmungen oft wechseln...  Later I gonna delete this infos, cos the situation change often in a year...

Wie finde ich Konsulat?

Frage die Leute nach dem Bus (B1,B2,B4) nach Entrop. (Agglo) Dort wirst du ein neues Hotel sehen mit grossen Weissen Pferden und einer römischen Figur. Gleich links daneben ist eine kleine gelb- weisse Tür: Öffnungszeiten von 9-12 und 13-14 Uhr.

How to find the consulate?

You can ask the people for the bus (B1,B2,B4) to Entrop. (Suburbs) There you gonna see a new hotel with withe horses and a romic statue. Just left of it is a small yellow- white entrance: Open from 9-12 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

Das richtige Indonesian VISA:

Update: 18.7.2011 Ich sprach vorhin mit einem höheren Beamten des Immigrationsbüros. Die VISA's on arrival müssen im Immigrationsbüros von Jayapura ausgestempelt werden bevor man zur Grenze geht, weil dort die nötige Elektronik nicht besteht. 

VISA's welche an einer Botschaft erstellt wurden können an der Grenze ausgestempelt werden.

Die Dokumente:

- 2x Pasfoto. Mit blauem Stift underschrieben auf der Rückseite. Weisser Hintergrund.

- Einen Brief auf Englisch, wieso man PNG besuchen will.

- Einen Brief wo man erklährt wohin man gehen will.

- Einen Brief wo ich erklährte, dass ich keine Flugtickets habe, weil ich ein Boot hitchhiken will.

- Einen Brief indem ich sage wie ich mich finanzieren will.

- Einen Bankauszug von der Schweiz, um zu zeigen dass ich nicht blank liege.

- Eine Fotokopie vom Pass.

- Eine Fotokopie vom VISA von Indonesia

- 225'000 in Bar. Zu Grosse Noten? Sie haben ziemlich sicher kein Rückgeld!!

- Alles Handschriftliche muss mit blauem Stift ausgefüllt und unterschrieben werden, sonst musst du es nochmal machen.

  - Ich fand viele Adressen im Internet. Sie waren alle NICHT AKZEPTIERT. Hier die Adresse welche man mir auf dem Konsulat gab:

You need first of all the right Indonesian VISA:

Update 18.7.2011 I've spoken to a high rank official in the immigration office. Any VISA's on arrival has to be stamped out in the immigration office in Jayapura cos the technics doesn't exist on the boarder. The normal VISA's issued in a embassy can be stamped out AT THE BOARDER to PNG. 

The Documents:

- 2x passport- images. Signed with a blue pen on the back. White background.

- A letter in englisch why you want to visit PNG.

- A letter where you wanna go in PNG.

- A letter I explained why I don't have flighttickets. (cos I wanna hitchhike boats)

- A letter where I explain how I gonna pay this travellings.

- The bank papers to prove so I have enough money.

- Copies of my passport.

- Copies of the VISA of indonesia

- 225'000. They surely haven't change money. Bring it exactely.

- Everything must be done written with a blue pen. If not you can do it again.

- I fount a lot of addres in the internet. Not one was accepted. Here the addres the woman gave me on the consulate:

- I DIDN'T need the sponsor/ contacts adress.

Sonst das übliche: Keinen Stress vortäuschen. Ruhig bleiben und nicht ausrasten. Probieren die Angestellten mit Namen anzusprechen. (Du wirst sie ein paar Mal sehen.) Und so oft wie möglich vorbeischauen.

Die Überraschung zum Schluss. Sie erklährte mir, dass sie 2-3 Tage bräuchte. Am dritten Tag hatte ich mein VISA in der Hand. Eine Frau erklährte mir später, dass die Führung vor 1-2 Monaten gewechselt habe und es jetzt zuverlässiger sei. Vorher gaben bis zu 50% der Leute AUF ein VISA zu erhalten und kehrten um.

Viel Spass in der VISAhölle Nr 1 ;-D

Anything else as usual. Don't show stress. Keep quite and don't get angry. Try to speak to the people with their names. (you gonna see them several times) And try to come as often to the consulate as possible.

The surprise: She explained to me to need 2-3 days. And thats what happened. On the third day I had my VISA. A woman in the city explained me later, the boss changed 1-2 month ago. Now it works better then before. In the past up to 50% of the people GAVE UP to receive the VISA and turnt back to indonesia.
