Indonesien (Papua)

Abkühlung kommt nur beim Baden. Schweiss ist wiedermal mein zweiter Name. 

To take a bath is perhaps the only possibility to cool down. Sweat is my second name. Again. 

Auf weiteren Ausflügen bemerkte ich, dass das kleine Stadtzentrum täuscht. Jayapura ist ne grosse Stadt. Aber das wahre Leben spielt sich in Aussenzentren wie Abipura, Entrop oder Persipura ab. Letzteres ist dann auch das Zuhause einer der erfolgreichsten Teams im indonesischen Fussball. Im Moment sind sie die Champions der höchsten Liga. 

On other voyages around the city I've seen the big size of this city. But the most people don't live in the small harbour area. More is going on in the outcenters like Abipura, Entrop or Persipura. The Football Club of Persipura for example is the champion in the moment in Indonesians highest ligue. 

Extreme Seltenheit: Ein buddhistischer Tempel. 

Really uncommon: A buddhist tempel. 

Obwohl ich Missionare oft nicht sehr positiv betrachte, bewundere ich sie für ihre Härte. Monate oder Jahre in einem Dorf zu leben und einzig einen Funk zu haben für den Kontakt zur Aussenwelt: Respekt. Hier eine Grossfamilie am shoppen. Grosse Teile des Weges müssen sie per Helikopter zurücklegen. 

I don't like too much the thinking of missionars. But I look up to them about there ability to live in remoted areas for month or years. The only way of contact outside is the radio: Respect. here is a big family shopping A big part of the way, they have to do by helicopters. 

Inzwischen kann ich den Gedanken kaum noch verstehen, wieso Menschen herumreisen, mit dem Auftrag anderen Leuten zu sagen was sie glauben müssen. Du wirst Protestant, du wirst Katholik und du wirst Muslim.... Was ist der Sinn dahinter? Egoismus? Ich sage dir was richtig ist...

I can't understand anymore the ides of people going into remoted areas with the mission to teach the people what they have to believe. You gonna be a protestant, YOU gonna be catholic and YOU change to muslim... Whats the point? Egoism? I tell YOU what's right... 

Ich klagte über das Mono- Essen im Land. Von Sumatra bis Papua esse ich immer das gleiche. Nasi Goreng, Bakso und Nasi Champur... Also brachten mich die Freunde an spezielle Plätze. Ich fand köstliche China- Papua- Mix oder feine lokale Spezialitäten. 

I was complaining about the same food in Sumatra till Papua. Nasi Goreng, bakso and nasi champur everyday. So they made some efforts to find good food. I had delicious China- papua- mix or local specialities. 

Rechts im Bild Fernandos Mutter beim Betelnuss verkaufen. Diese werden mit Pulver und eine Art Bohnen gemischt und gekaut. Fast jeder tut das hier. Soll Zahnschutz sein, macht aber wohl abhängig mit der Zeit. 

On the right side you see the mother of Fernando selling betenuts. They are mixed with powder and a bean- like green. If you do it right your gonna have a red mouth. I shall protect your theets. I think it makes you depending on it.

Und schliesslich war ich seehr lange am Internet, in Facebook und am Blog schreiben. Auch dies genosse ich, schliesslich werde ich es in PNG kaum vermögen lange im Internet zu sein. 

And so I was a loooong time in the net, facebook and I was writing the blog. It was awesome and I'm going to avoid internet in PNG. Its just too expensive what I heart. 

Persönlich: Ich freue mich dass es weitergeht.
