Indonesien - Malaysia (Borneo)
Rauch. Mitten im Meer. Ich hatte Mühe zu atmen. Oje, was erwartet mich da?
In the middle of the ocean and hours before we arrived: The air become a thick smog. Smells like smoke. In the middle of the sea. I had problems to breath. Whats happening here?

In this way, I know about the pollution and the burned forest, before I've seen anything of the country. The Indonesian Borneo is called Kalimantan. I arrived and searched a new Host. After two hours, a dark skinned Chinese picked me up. I didn't know this exist, but I'm always keen to learn something new. The family was protestant, whats quite rare there. Normally this Chinese are romaine- catholic. In the family they don't speak mandarin anymore, but dialects called Hakka and Tiociu. Funny was the Family name: Sandy. They just put one part of the fathers name and one part of the mothers name together.
In the nest morning, I begun to hitchhike to direction of Malaysia. Already in the afternoon I reached the boarder. Again I recognized the perfectly cut grass and the existing rubbish bin. After some good rides, I found a truck driver, going all the way to Bintulu, what means to cross almost all the Province Sarawak.
There where local election, why the streets were full of flags of the Parties. Since 40 years the same Party is on power. But now there is real concurrence.
In Miri just before the border with Brunei, I found a good Guesthouse. It was fun to speak again with other travelers and to speak with them.
Personal: A lot of Highlights on a busy trip. I feel like in the beginning of my trip.
Plan A: Brunei and back.
