It was a big promise!
They told me, its importand to them, to write a letter if I'm back in my village with my people. I have to write them if I'm back home and if I'm fine.
While re-reading it, I realized the unique perspective of the letter:
Dear John
I'm back home!
After 22 month of traveling, I'm finally back home.
Me belong long Switzerland. But me laikim Papua Neugini!
After Sera I went to Angoram, Goroka, Lae, Bulolo, Port Moresby, Alotau and back to Indonesia. I never used planes and was walking a lot of days. After this I missed my family very much. So I went home!
I hope you and your village are fine! I had a great time with you. I liked the fruitgarden around your house and the endless beach of your village.
In my country peoples life is very stressful. Theres not a lot of time for the family and the friends. Nobody has gardening and nobody knows how to go hunting. Theres anyway not enough forest with animals left....
...But I'm happy to be back in my village with my friends and my family. Switzerland is very safe and moderne, whats very convenient. We have a lot of Stoas and Kaikai bars. Just sometimes I miss your village and I hope to come back one day to visit you again.
Tell everybody: Cyrill Lukas is back with his people and shows at home pictures of your village and tells stories about your life and your food.
Me laikim gud pla kaikai saksak.
Seeyou again my friends!

Lieber John
Cyrill Burch
