Zurück in Jayapura kam ich schliesslich zu einem neuen Haarschnitt. Bahasa indonesia kenne ich ja schon und eine grosse Freude war es alte Freunde zu sehen. Jayapura 1

Back in jayapura I go finally a new haircut. I already know the language (bahasa Indonesia) and it was a happy thing to see my old friends. Jayapura 2

Beim Verlassen von Jayapura sah ich schliesslich die grossen Fischerboote von letzem Mal im Einsatz. Dazu werden alle Lichter angezünded und das Netz ausgeworfen. Kleinere Fische werden von der Helligkeit angezogen und ins Netz geleitet. Jayapura 1

When I left Jayapura, I saw the big fishingboats of my last visit in action Jayapura 1 All the lamps are on. This attracts small fish, afterwards catched by the nets.

Als wir in Ambon ankamen war ich überrascht über die grosse Polizeipräsenz. Auch kamen viele konservative Muslime auf die Fähre (komplett verhüllte Frauen) .

When we arrived in Ambon I was surprised about the big police presence in the harbour. Suddenly a lot of conservative muslims (covered women) came into the ship to Jawa. People told me, there were riots in the city just the days before. A mosque and other buildings have been burned by christians.

Persönlich: Bis jetzt war alles Routine. Ich wusste ja wie das Leben auf dem Schiff läuft. Ich fühle mich aber auch sicher. Ich kann bei einem Zwischenstopp auch Nachts an den Hafen hinaus wohin ich will...

Personal: I know the live on the ship already. I feel again save and free. I can even in the night walk around the harbour of the stopps we make and have a look... and walk wherever I want.
