Letzte Impressionen von Lake Toba. Links die Kirche inmitten von Reisfeldern. Rechts eine Grabsäule. Je nach Familienzugehörigkeit gibt es andere Farben und Formen. Alle mit dem gleichen Familiennamen helfen also manchmal mit einer Spende eine solche Säule beim Grab zu errichten.

Nachdem ich in China nie dazu gekommen bin, fand ich hier Hund. Zum Essen. Die Muslime in anderen Landesteilen sehen den Hund als unreines Tier an, sowie Schweine. Deshalb ist es nur in christlichen Regionen möchglich es zu finden. Dieser Unterkiefer eines Bellos törnte mich aber nicht gross an, sodass ich es beim anknappern liess. Mindestens habe ich wieder ein Fanghuang Erlebniss mehr. link

I've never seen it in China, so this was the best occation to try out dog. In the other muslim parts of the country, you can't find it, because dog is uncean liek pig for believers. So its only in christian parts possibel to find it. In the end, this lower jaw didn't turn me on, so I just nippled a little bit. It remebered me on Fanghuang in China: link

Da es viel regnete in diesen Tagen, war die Arbeit in den Reisfeldern angesagt.

Eines der letzten Zeichen aus der christlichen Batakregion. Gleich nach Balige fieng es an wieder mehr Moscheen zu haben.

Ich bekam einen super Lift in einem guten Honda von zwei jungen Typen. Selbst sie mussten aber eine Zigarettenpause einlegen, als ein paar Trucks in einem steilen Stück hängen blieben. Bemerkung: das ist die Hauptverbindung zwischen den zwei Metropolen Medan und Padang in Sumatra. Eine gute Erklärung,wieso Fähren und Inlandflüge in Indonesien extrem wichtig sind.

I got a good ride with some young guys in their Honda. But even they had to make a breake while some trucks stocked on a steap part of the street. Edit: This is the main connection between the two metropoles of Sumatra. Medan and Padang. And its perhaps a good explanation why ferries and inland flights are very important in this country.
