Und plötzlich ging alles schnell. Hier erschoss der Fahrer eines Bananabootes einen Wildvogel.

And suddenly everything happens fast. Here a men shoot a wild bird out ot a banana- boat.

Tapaue- Putei 2h by boat (about 3 days hike, Putei has shops)

Nach dreissig Minuten wegmarschieren von Tapaue, hörten wir Lärm auf dem Fluss. Ein Boot kommt den schmalen Kabau hinauf. Wir eilten zurück, um das Boot zu nehmen. Innerlich hatte ich mich eingestellt auf fast eine Woche weiterwandern. Und plötzlich kam eines der extrem seltenen Boote hierhin.

After 30 minutes of hiking out of Tapaue, we heart a noice from the river. A smll boat comes up the narrow kapau river. Fast, we hiked back to catch the boat. I prepared myself of a hiking- week and was surprised about the fast end of the journey.

Auch auf dem Weg, fischten sie einen 1+ Meter Aal.

On the way they even fished out a 1+ meter Eel.

Jep, ganz links im Bild liegt ein Krokodil.

Jep, on the very left side, is a crocodile.

Ich konnte am nächsten Tag mit einem Betelnut- Boot mitfahren, in der folgenden Nacht gings dann weiter nach Port Moresby.

I catched a ride on a Betelnutboat the next day. In the following night we went till Port Moresby. 

Persönlich: Plötzlich gings schnell. Schon fast enttäuschend, wieder weg zu sein. Aber gleichzeitig beruhigt. Auch war es Zeit von Nicolastoni Abschied zu nehmen.

Personal: Suddenly everything happens very fast. Even a little bit too fast. But relaxing in the same time. additional it was time to say goodbye to Nicolastoni. 

Da ich selber kein Kartenmaterial im Net gefunden habe, poste ich hier mal meine fotografierten Notizen. Auf sicher, stimmen die Angaben von Lonelyplanet ueber die Region nicht. Dort steht von Menyamya ueber Kaintiba nach Kerema yu laufen dauert 1 Wochen. Ich schaetze den Zeitaufwand fuer diese Strecke auf 2-3 Wochen. 

I didn't find any information in the net. Thats why I post here the image of the notes of my hike and others. For sure the information of the lonelyplanet about this area are very wrong. They say, to walk from Menyamya to Kaintiba and to Kerema would take about one week. I estimate this distanze would take 2-3 weeks.
